Western Ways.

Wire drawings mounted on wood.

Wire drawings on wood and beeswax photographs mounted on wood panel.

Wire drawings on wood and beeswax photographs mounted on wood panel.
Western Ways is currently being featured at 20Twenty: an adorable vintage clothing store in lovely old Ballard!

The series is a representation of the societal differences of my past and present life I constantly feel torn between. It suggests accepting the marriage of each rather than choosing between them. Growing up in Western Montana has left me greatly influenced by Rural America, a place where hard, often times monotonous work and routine are the way of the day. Where you "do what ya can with what ya got." The Beeswax photographs and Wire Drawings of Western Ways are my interpretation of embracing just this.

The show will be concluded May 11.

Nice to meet you.

Society: the condition of those living in companionship with others, or in a community, rather than in isolation.

Welcome to Society of These: A warehouse of handmade items for you and your viewing pleasure. I'm Alicia Palaniuk, a Montana native turned Seattle resident of 9 years now. I live in the little community of Ballard and love every minute of it. I make my money by serving up delicious coffee and spend my time creating photography, jewelry, sculpture, and everything else I can.
I'll soon be posting photos of a few collections so please check back soon. Thanks so much for stopping by!
